Water Fitness

Working out in the water helps limit the stress put on the bones and joints that can occur while doing land aerobics. The following water aerobics classes are offered to our Lakota Family YMCA members, Reciprocity Members, SilverSneaker Members, and Prime members for FREE!

SilverSneakers® SilverSplash

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 11:30 – 12:20

Improve strength, Flexibility, balance and endurance. Be kind to your joints, get stronger and have fun in the pool.

Swim Fit Swimming

Tuesday/Thursday 6:00 – 7:15 am

Saturday 7:30 – 8:45 am

Looking for Swim Workouts you can do on your own or with a group? Want to get into better shape through swimming but tired of swimming lap after lap? Or want to have someone there to push you to improve? You will do “Yardage Swim Practice Workouts”, learn drills to improve your stroke, and build your speed and stamina. This is a LAP SWIMMING class and NOT a “learn to swim” class. Swimmers of all levels and interest participate in this class.

H20 Fitness Cardio

Tuesday 10:00-10:50 am

Thursday 11:00 – 11:50 am

This program gives a new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. This water-based workout provides cardio conditioning, body toning, and most of all; it is exhilarating beyond belief.

H20 Fitness to the Max (Shallow End)

Tuesday 7:00 - 7:50pm

This is a HIGH-INTENSITY workout in the SHALLOW end of the pool. We use water barbells, weighted balls, and exercises to help condition the entire body.

Amped Up to H20 Fitness (Deep End)

Thursday 7:00 - 7:50 pm

This is a FULL-BODY workout and in the DEEP end of the pool. Learn exercises while keeping yourself up in the water with treading and movement. We provide float belts if needed.

H20 Boot Camp

Saturday 10:00-10:50 am

Kick up your exercise program a notch with these drills and hardcore exercises in the water. This challenging workout will give you an extra push to surpass your comfort zone with water being a great area for cross training. Aerobic and strength training will include plyometric moves, sprinting, jumping and lap swimming. Balance and core work will also be included.
