Supervise program participants in camp programs.
Plan & implement program activities that are culturally relevant & developmentally appropriate.
Maintain safety & cleanliness standards.
Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents & staff.
Follow YMCA policies & procedures, including those related to medical & disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be available summer 2023, with trainings beginning in April/May.
Must be available M-F between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, for an 8-hour shift daily.
Previous experience working with children, preferably in a camp setting.
CPR & First Aid certifications must be obtained/maintained throughout employment.
Must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2022 and enrolled or graduated from an accredited college or university. You must preferably have at least one year experience in a summer camp program. You may be promoted from within Camp Arrowhead. Activity Directors are responsible for an assigned group of campers and will plan and direct specific activities. Advanced lesson plans are required to be turned into the Camp Directors one week prior to the activity.
Pay is $11-$12 /hour
Pay is $13-$14.50/hour.
The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for assisting the camp director with the day-to-day general functioning of Camp Arrowhead. They will take over the operations of the Day Camp when the Director is unavailable. They will maintain a good working relationship with staff and the families in the program.
