Okay, so we outgrew our Fitness Area downstairs and moved upstairs. Does this mean we once again are moving up? If you haven't had a chance, come in and take a class in our new Group Fitness area located above the Fitness Center. We have new Cycling, Aerobics, Karate rooms, and other great new classes. Room sizes are large, so there's room for you and your friends! Most of the classes are free to our Lakota Family YMCA members -- including Child Watch. Come in and check us out!

This class is a comprehensive basic training course that consists of doing push-ups, jumping jacks, squats, plyometrics, weight training and various cardio exercises.
A challenging full-body workout focusing on cardio, flexibility, and strength that includes cardio intervals and 15 minutes of core exercise.
Group Spinning is for all fitness levels and is designed for beginning riders up to spinning enthusiasts. This class has minimal impact and allows you to vary your intensity level using the bicycle’s resistance knob. This class provides you with a great cardio workout that challenges your lower body! All spinning participants should bring a bottle of water and a towel to class.
This is the hottest fitness class around with classes forming all over the globe. Zumba combines forms of Latin dance styles (Salsa, Merengue, Mambo and Hip Hop). This makes for an exciting, fun aerobic workout. All ages and levels are welcome.
HIIT, or High-Intensity Interval Training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. This is good for fat loss, cardio and full body health.
Ignite is a pre-choreographed urban fusion of boxing, HIIT, hip hop, dance and some serious attitude. There are 3 levels of intensity. For EVERY body.

Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignments, core strength and muscle balance.
Improves strength, flexibility, posture, and balance. Exercise at your own pace with resistance tools including bands, balls, and weights.
Stability is the newest class designed to help you become stronger and improve balance. The movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee, and hip joints, while improving your reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention and is suitable for nearly every fitness level. It can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants. A chair may be used for balance and support.
The Tai Chi Program is designed to improve the quality of life for all people. Intro to Tai Chi is gaining popularity as an evidence-based and cost-effective health intervention that works for any population. It used slow and careful movement without strain to strengthen the body's own healing forces and is medically proven to support disease prevention, accelerate healing and reduce stress.
A slow to medium paced class that emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. The Vinyasa class is a moving meditation in which you will flow through sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and end with cool down poses.
