Young Engineers

The Lakota YMCA is excited to announce a new partnership with Young Engineers to offer innovative STEM education programs for children. Young Engineers is renowned for its engaging, hands-on learning experiences that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering a deep understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Through this collaboration, we will provide a variety of programs designed to cater to different age groups and interests:

  • Bricks Challenge: Aimed at elementary school students, this program introduces basic engineering principles using LEGO® bricks, enhancing problem-solving skills and creativity.

  • Galileo Technic: Designed for older children, this course delves into more complex engineering concepts, encouraging participants to build advanced models and explore the mechanics behind them.

  • Robo Bricks: Combining robotics and coding, this program allows children to construct and program their own robots, providing a comprehensive introduction to the world of robotics.

These programs not only aim to educate but also to inspire a passion for STEM fields, preparing our youth for future academic and career success. Classes will be held at the Lakota YMCA facilities, with schedules and enrollment details available on our website.

We invite parents to enroll their children in these exciting new programs and join us in nurturing the next generation of engineers and innovators.
