New Job Opportunities at the Lakota YMCA

Job Description

The Evening Facility Supervisor will lead, direct and manage all facets of the YMCA during the evening hours. Emphasis on staff & member safety, facility cleanliness and overall facility supervision will be the focus.

The Evening Supervisor will be responsible for:


•     Maintain the highest level of customer service during the evening hours through the supervision of the staff.

Job Requirements

•     Experience working in a evening supervision Computer skills preferred: MicroSoft Office.

•     Good written and oral communication skills.

•     Possess good leadership abilities.

•     Ability to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact and professionalism.

•     Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethic.



The Before and After School Childcare program is accepting applications. Applicants must be a high school graduate and pass a background check. We are also hiring Site Administrators who would need to have college credit hours in Education, Child Development etc. field or a current CDA. We offer Flexible hours and competitive pay.  This is a part-time position. Lifeguards need to possess knowledge of rescue procedures and emergency medical procedures. To help prevent incidents, lifeguards must enforce all safety guidelines as outlined by the YMCA. To ensure safety, lifeguards must remain alert throughout an entire shift. To gain a YMCA lifeguard job, applicant must hold lifeguard and CPR certification from either American Red Cross or YMCA. Positions available  are 6 am – 11 am and 11 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday.

Inclement Weather Policy:

During inclement weather, the LAKOTA FAMILY YMCA will follow the Lakota School District and Butler County guidelines:

  • If schools are on a delay, This means that our morning Child Watch, Programs and Before School Child Care (at the Lakota Schools) will be canceled. After School Child Care, and Afternoon Programs, including Child Watch will resume with their normal operating hours.
  • If schools close early After School Child Care is canceled (latchkey).
  • If schools are closed, this means that our morning Child Watch, Programs and Before & After School Child Care (at the Lakota Schools) will be canceled. Evening Programs (including Child Watch) will be announced, depending on level of weather. Check Chanel 9 WCPO Closings or call the YMCA at 513-779-3917 to confirm Evening Programs and or Child Watch.
  • Postings could change throughout the day. Please review website postings prior to leaving for the YMCA.


We make every attempt to keep our facility and programs open and accessible during periods of inclement weather, while keeping our staff  and members safe as they travel to and from the YMCA.

Lakota East and West Swim Teams:

The Lakota Family YMCA proudly supports Lakota East and Lakota West Sports. In doing so, we host practices for the Swim teams Monday - Friday from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. Practice season starts in November of each year and ends with State Championships in Feburary.
